Terms
The agreement between us and your school.
Written to be read, not to be survived. If a clause here conflicts with a signed agreement between your school and Campustics, the signed agreement wins.
Who this agreement is between
Campustics is operated by a sole proprietorship registered in India (Udyam / MSME) and based in Karnataka. “We” means Campustics; “the school” means the organisation that creates an account and the campuses under it. By creating an account or using the platform, the school accepts these terms on behalf of its staff, students, and parents.
What the service is
A hosted school ERP — admissions, enrolment, attendance, exams, report cards, fees, and the other modules listed on the site. It is provided as software-as-a-service: we host and maintain it, and we ship changes continuously. Features may be added, changed, or retired; we will not remove a module a school actively depends on without reasonable notice.
Accounts and acceptable use
The school is responsible for who it invites, what roles it grants, and for keeping credentials secure — actions taken by a signed-in account are treated as the school’s. Don’t use the platform to store unlawful content, to send messages the recipient hasn’t agreed to receive, to probe or attack the service, or to scrape, resell, or white-label it. We may suspend an account that is causing harm or risk to other schools, and will tell the school why.
The school owns its data
Student, parent, and staff records entered into Campustics belong to the school. As set out in our privacy notice, the school is the data controller and Campustics is the processor — we process that data only to run the platform for that school, never to sell, share, or train on. Schools can export their records as CSV at any time from inside the app, without asking us.
Fees and billing
Campustics is billed as a subscription; the plan, price, and billing cycle are whatever the school agreed in writing when it signed up. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes. If an invoice goes unpaid we will contact the school before taking any action — we will not delete records over a missed payment, though we may suspend access after written notice. Part-period fees are not refundable, but a school can cancel to stop the next cycle.
Third-party services
Some features depend on providers we don’t control: Razorpay for online payments, Resend for email, Fast2SMS or MSG91 for SMS, Meta for WhatsApp, and our hosting and database providers. An outage, policy change, or account decision at one of those providers can interrupt the corresponding feature. We’ll work to restore or route around it, but their failures are not a breach of this agreement by us.
Availability and support
We aim for the platform to be available whenever schools need it and we monitor it actively, but Campustics is a small operation and we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee. Planned maintenance is scheduled outside Indian school hours where possible. Support is by email at the address below; we answer as quickly as we reasonably can, with anything blocking attendance, exams, or fee collection taken first.
Limits of liability
Campustics is provided without warranties beyond those Indian law requires. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees the school paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending the agreement
Either side can end it with 30 days’ written notice. On termination the school keeps access to export its data for 30 days, after which we delete it — except records we are required to retain (for example financial records held for 8 years, as described in the privacy notice). We may end the agreement immediately if the platform is being used unlawfully.
Changes to these terms
We will publish material changes 30 days before they take effect, with an email to org admins — the same notice we give for privacy changes. The current version always lives at /terms. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means the school accepts the updated terms.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.
